Confession

'‘If you forgive the sins of any they are forgiven, them’
John 20.23

Confession, often known as the sacrament of reconciliation, is the opportunity for an individual to be personally assured and receptive to God’s forgiveness through the Church, and to receive advice to help them in their spiritual life. Jesus’ ministry of forgiveness and mercy that we see in the Gospels is continued in this way wherever it is needed.

Confessions may be made at any time by appointment with one of the clergy, but are regularly advertised in the season of Lent. If you’ve not made your confession before, the priest will help you prepare for it, and what to do when it takes place.
