New Curate for St Michael’s

The Vicar and Wardens of St Michael’s are delighted to announce that the Bishop of Southwark has offered the post of Assistant Curate at St Michael’s to Mr Martin Calderbank, who is be ordained to the diaconate at Southwark Cathedral on Saturday 29th June 2019.
Martin is married to Louise and they have three adult daughters.  Martin has worked in private equity investment for 24 years.  He is training for ministry at St Augustine’s College of Theology.  Martin will be a part-time and self-supporting curate, ministering at St Michael’s for up to four years. Martin writes:
“I am very excited by the prospect of worshipping with you at St Michael and All Angels, and of joining your mission within the wider community.”
Martin’s first service will be the Confirmation Mass on Sunday 30th June at 6.00pm.  Please pray for Martin as he prepares for his ordination and to join us at St Michael’s.  We look forward to welcoming him.
