New Parish Administrator. The Vicar, Wardens and PCC are delighted to announce the appointment of Rachel Skilbeck as our new Parish Administrator, replacing Lizzie Hackett-Brown who steps down this week.  Rachel brings with her many skills from a variety of administrative, creative and management roles which will be a great blessing to us. Rachel lives locally with her family, and worships at St Mary’s, Barnes, where is she is also on the PCC and the Barnes Ball Committee.  Her first day in the office is Monday 23rd April, with the same opening hours as previously.  Please do welcome her when she arrives.  In her own words: ‘Having grown up in Pasadena, California, I have enjoyed being in Barnes since 2005.  My husband is from Battersea and our two children were born here and attend local schools.  Former jobs were in the software industry where I was project manager and most recently I worked at St Osmund’s Catholic primary school focusing primarily on Admissions and safeguarding.  I look forward to my new role as your Parish Administrator and meeting all of you.

Electoral Roll Revision 2018. Each year the list of church members is updated and checked.  The revision will begin on 1st April and be completed on 14th April.  The current roll is on the notice board,  Please do double check you are on the roll, and your name is spelt correctly.  We encourage everyone connected with St Michael’s to join the roll as an accurate, positive reflection of the life of our church and parish -forms are on the leaflet table at the back of church.  Note – the church electoral roll is different to the local council roll.

Holy Week Preacher. Father Brutus Green, Padre to the Parachute Regiment, will be preaching on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and at the Dawn Vigil.

Easter Lilies. If you would like to make a donation to the cost of Easter lilies in memory of a loved one please speak to Fiona Brannon or Jane Gardiner (or email the Parish Office). A list of those remembered will be at the back of church.

Thank you from Lizzie. An enormous thank you for your kind words and gifts last Sunday.  For once, I was rather lost for words!  I have thoroughly enjoyed being your Parish Administrator and will very much miss the daily life of the office. I would like to thank you all for making the role possible through the giving of your time and helping out as needed.  I have really appreciated everyone’s kindness and goodwill.  As Fr Stephen mentioned, I will still be involved in the life of St Michael’s both as a volunteer and as a member of the PCC.

Parish Newsletter.  Thank you to all those who delivered the newsletter.

PCC Minutes. The latest PCC minutes can be found on the notice board at the back of church.
