Like all churches, St Michael’s exists to worship God, and reflect on earth the continual praises of God in heaven. Our mission is to share the love of God in Jesus Christ with all people in a way that is accessible yet also profound and expressive of the beauty and mystery of God.
St Michael’s worships in what is sometimes known as the ‘high church’ or ‘Anglo-Catholic’ tradition of the Church of England, which seeks to use the best insights of the historic faith and apply them in today’s world in a thoughtful and intelligent way. We enjoy the beauty of ritual, music, incense and all the arts in helping us to approach the wonder of God.
As a parish church we are open to all people and inclusive in terms of gender, background, culture, ethnicity and sexuality. Whoever you are, and wherever you are on your journey of faith, we invite you to join us in worship.
In this section you will find details of Sunday and weekday services, together with any special services and a number of past sermons.
